Just as an aside...Why can't we have a Sci-Fi movie where the humans aren't bastards, and get along just fine with the aliens they meet, instead of fucking everything up and killing everything that isn't them. Call me naïve but I don't honestly believe that humans would be cruel to aliens that are potentially benevolent beings...would we not rather seek understanding or advancement through meeting and sharing information and technology with these things from other world. I mean, it's ridiculous to assume that every alien we encounter wants to take over our planet or is out to feast on our squishy bodies...so why can't Sci-Fi give humanity a break? Probably lack of imagination because writing kind characters is hard.
